Horizon is critical context here. Horizon uses Shopify's new Web-Components architecture and an AJAX cart that submits via fetch('/cart/add.js') (or /cart/add) — it does not do a classic form POST. That means even if your block were inside the form, the AJAX submitter ignores out-of-scope inputs and only serializes what it explicitly cares about. The fix below does three things: Removes the stray duplicate .flavor-option block that was outside the loop. Patches the form submit (classic path) by cloning inputs into the cart form. Intercepts fetch calls to /cart/add (Horizon's AJAX path) and injects the chocolate properties — this is the magic bit that makes it work on Horizon. Replace your entire block file with this:
